Alesha Dixon wants to have "fun" with her style.
The 37-year-old singer believes fashion is "subjective" and people should be allowed to experiment with what they wear.
It is that ethos which has inspired her latest collection with Little Black Dress that launched last week.
Speaking on UK TV show 'Lorraine' about her influences, the brunette beauty said: "I think fashion is subjective and everybody has opinions and I honestly have fun with it and you should have fun with fashion and that's why I wanted to create my own line.
"I think now it's about doing something myself and I've collaborated with my best friend Nicola Atkinson and we've created a clothing line ... we hope that women love the clothes, we wanted to make women feel fabulous.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge's is very proud of her first clothing line - which sees £1 from every dress sold donated to the domestic violence charity Refuge - and admits it was a lot harder work than she predicted.
She explained: "It's been so much hard work though I didn't realise how hard it would be but brilliant I'm learning so much along the way."
Speaking previously, she said: "I would say my collection is sexy and playful. I really wanted to create some dresses that made women feel fabulous. It's about introducing a little glamour, being bold, having fun and making a statement. I want women to feel great and confident in the dresses.
"It's designed to appeal to women who want to treat themselves for that special occasion without breaking the bank."
