Adwoa Aboah received the Model of the Year honour at The 2017 Fashion Awards.
The 25-year-old model took home the prestigious title at the annual extravaganza, which took place at London's Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening (04.12.17), beating sisters Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, as well as Winnie Harlow and newcomer Kaia Gerber for the accolade.
Adwoa scooped the honour because of her work on her digital site 'Gurls Talk', as well as her fashion campaigns with Calvin Klein, Fendi, and DKNY.
And she was presented the award by 46-year-old singer and songwriter Erykah Badu on the evening.
Christopher Bailey announced earlier this year he was stepping down from his role at Burberry, and will depart the British Fashion House in March 2018, but that did not stop him from picking up the Outstanding Contribution to British Fashion Award.
Raf Simons took home the Designer of the Year title for his work with Calvin Klein ahead of Gucci's Alessandro Michele, Jonathan Anderson, Dior's Maria Grazia Chiuri and Celine's Phoebe Philo, while the Menswear British Designer of the Year gong went to Craig Green, and the British Emerging Talent for Menswear brand was handed over to Charles Jeffrey for his eponymous label.
And Michael Halpern collected the British Emerging Talent honour for Womenswear for his namesake brand Halpern.
Jonathan Anderson was the only figure on the evening to scoop two awards, as he received the British Designer of the Year gong for his Womenswear collection with JW Anderson, as well as the Accessories Designer of the Year title for his work with the Spanish company Loewe.
Also in the evening, Maria Grazia Chiuri was honoured with the Swarovski Award for Positive Change, as she is the first female to helm Dior, while Stella McCartney picked up the Special Recognition Award for Innovation, after she set up her eponymous brand in 2001, which saw her create highly coveted garments out of cruelty free fabrics.
But Stella and Maria were not the only designers who were big winners at last night's event, as Donatella Versace was the recipient of the Style Icon trophy.
