Yves Saint Laurent designer Stefano Pilati launched a new collection for the brand.

The moderately priced line of 50 outfits is deliberately designed to fit together into 24 outfits for the perfect capsule wardrobe.

Pilati's ‘ timeless’ and ‘versatile’ crease free range will be available in Harrods and Browns from September.

He told WWD that he wanted the label to be more accessible and appeal to a broader, younger clientele.

“ It’s not a second line. It’s about building a wardrobe; finding everything you need. And it’s not necessarily linked to the direction of the season.”

He added:” I strongly believe in being a dynamic brand. A brand like YSL should have this role.”
