Victoria Beckham's dVb jeans producers will leave 100 Canadians jobless as they move prodcution overseas.
The dVb label is currently produced by Western Glove Works in Canada but due to the the high Canadian dollar and a shortage of qualified workers the manufacturer has decided to venture overseas.
The jeanswear collection is the latest addition to the growing Beckham empire and has been hugely popular since it's launch earlier this year.
The move to cheaper off-shore production will cost around 100 Canadian jobs but Westrern Glove say they have no choice.
"It was a combination of the (Canadian) dollar and staffing issues, but the dollar was the straw that broke the back," said Bob Silver, president of Western Glove Works to fashion united.
This move does not affect the availabilty of the dVb range which was launched in Saks in June then in the UK last month.
The range includes Victoria's signature big sunglasses and collection of jeans with the DVB star design on the pocket and is currently available in Harrods.
