Victoria Beckham has put us all to shame when it comes to dressing for the airport.
The designer knows that when she steps off onto the hard gravel there will be a whole host of paps waiting to catch her at what should be her worst, but the reality is, this couldn't be further from the truth.
Over the years, and the many, many air miles, Mrs Beckham has proved that for her it doesn't matter if it was a long haul flight, or she has to take care of three boys and carry one cute little girl in her arm; fashion will never surrender.
Her six inch Louboutins never stray to far, and they're usually paired with a bag and a dress from her own collection. She is the best form of advertising and brand management.
But a new survey has indicated that reality is much more mundane.
Fewer than one in ten people now care about how they look when they get on and off a plane, according to new research by Meteor meet and greet.
Rather than looking presentable, priorities for plane travel these days are being prepared with more than half of people taking a medical kit - and even packing a packet of biscutis beats boarding with a bit of style.
Sarah Anglim from Meteor meet and greet, says: "Most people now dress for seige rather than a cocktail party when they get on a plane.
"Sadly the days when people saw air travel as an opportunity to glam up a bit have long gone."
The research carried out with more than 1,000 adult air passengers did reveal a beacon of hope for those who lament the lost glamour of the airways.
Younger people aged 16 to 24 are twice as likely as the average flyer to be sure to look stylish when boarding and landing.
Sarah continues: "Young people are putting their parents to shame on the plane in the style stakes."
So, it would seem that Victoria Beckham has some competition from the younger flyers. Watch your back.
