The contents of the late Gianni Versace's Lake Como home have sold for more that 7 million pounds, reports WWD.
His possessions were put up for auction earlier this week, finally finishing late on Wednesday evening, after rumbling on for an unexpected 12 hours.
The auction netted a total of 7,411,919 pounds, or $10,390,769, which considering we're in a recession is a pretty sizeable amount.
It also happened to be more than three-and-a-half times the pre-auction estimate of 2 million pounds, which just goes to show how influential the fashion legend actually was.
Most of the lots outstripped their estimates too, with one of his bookcases commanded five times its estimate, selling for a whopping £601,250.
