We told you on Tuesday that speculation was growing on wether Vera Wang would close her Lavender Lane label amid poor sales in the recession, but the designer has spoken out to end these rumours, WWD reports.
Vera has played down rumours of closure and insists she is still thinking about the future.
She said: "We will decide, but based on what the orders are coming in."
The label has put on hold plans for a handbag line though. Vera explained: "I didn't want to launch a bag line in this economy."
The designer has promised she will take full responsibility though if the line is to close. She said: "The truth is that there is really only one designer, and that is me."
