Sophie Dahl lit up London's most famous shopping street last night as she swtiched on this years Bond Street Christmas lights.
The supermodel flicked the switch at light up one of the world's most fashionable streets signalling the start of the festive period.
Im delighted to turn on this years lights, said the model before wishing the chilly crowd a Merry Christmas.
The street was transformed into a winter wonderland complete with fake snow reindeers and fairy light covered rickshaws.
The switch on also opened a special Christmas shopping event in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's charity where of Bond Street's designer stores have donated exclusive prizes to a luxury tombola.
Stores including Asprey, Burberry, Tiffany & Co, DKNY and Pringle all got into the Christmas spirit offering exclusive discounts while Emporio Armani's window hosted models sporting the latest ski and snowboarding trends.
