Gabrielle Griess has left Sonia Rykiel, after just 18 months at the helm.
The French fashion house has confirmed the departure and the label will now be in the hands of house president, Nathalie Rykiel and Sonia Rykiel.
Nathalie Rykiel told WWD: "We separated by mutual agreement. I have put in place a design studio, with a certain number of people under my artistic direction and of course, that of Madame Rykiel."
It's unclear what Griess's next career move will be, but with stints at Lanvin, Anna Molinari and Martine Sitbon in the past, we're sure she won't be without a job for long.
A Central Saint Martins graduate, Griess was promoted to creative director in 2007, after working for three years as chief assistant to Rykiel.
