How we all shop has significantly changed over the years, from boutiques, to highstreet, to online and to teleshopping.
Over the years our retail experience – how and where we shop for our products – has seen a considerable evolution. And one company at the forefront of this has been QVC.
Launching in the UK, in 1993, nearly two decades on the broadcaster is now a multi-million pound business, broadcasting seven days a week and by the end of this year beamed into all British homes. With leading brands such as Bose, Lulu Guinness, Kelly Hoppen and Elemis as well as esteemed guests from Gok Wan to Westlife and Marco Pierre White to Lulu, the UK’s biggest TV and online shopping channel has dragged consumer retail into an interactive 21st Century.
One-in-six UK homes has had something despatched from its mile-long Liverpool distribution centre, one that's six times larger than Wembley Stadium. And after a search lasting 2 years the channel will be moving from its Battersea home of 19 years to a new £33 million state of the art complex in Chiswick.
Watch our video where we will look back at QVC’s huge technological advances and business successes and how QVC is investing and growing.
