If you were just as disappointed as us that you didn't get a chance to hop across the pond to see the record breaking Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition, fear not.
With numbers in excess of 550,000 visitors, the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art show is coming to London, bringing the unique creations not to mention anticipation of Alexander McQueen back home to Britain.
The news was announced by Grazia magazine editor Melanie Rickey on her blog. No details or exact information has been uncovered, however McQueen HQ told her that they 'have been in discussions with a number of major venies in London for some time now,' in a bid to host the fashion experience.
For fashion enthusiasts and commentators the return of the late Alexander McQueen's collection to his home country is emotional enough, but morevoer the exhibition is said to open in 2013 to coincide with the 20 anniversary of the McQueen dashion house, making it even more poignant.
The McQueen headquarters added: "Alexander McQueen appreciates the huge amount of interest the public has shown towards the Savage Beauty exhibition.
Please be assured that an official announcement will be made the moment we confirm our plans for London."
Since his tragic death in 2010, the interest surrounding the innovative designs of the inspiration high end and couture fashion designer has increased significantly.
Opening in 2013, we expect to see an orderly queue starting to form outsides the exhibition doors by the end of the year.
