Prada took Milan fashion week into a summer garden for thier runway show on Tuesday.
A colour palette of moss green, bark brown, maple red and blueberry gave the models a look like they were fresh from pottering around a country garden with a watering can.
Where Cavalli did floaty chiffon girlyness, Prada went for bold prints and flattering cuts for a more sophisticated summer woman.
The collection was made up of lots of tulle and cotton jersey, with full calf length skirts and bell-bottom trousers which helped to lessen the severity of Prada's signature minimalist style.
"My collection is about looking forward. About a woman's imagination in our changing world," the designer said to AP.
The Prada spring/summer 08 woman is pretty, elegant and girly but still strong and independant enough to do her own gardening.
