As we approach the A-list of all A-list wedding weekends courtesy of Miss Kate Moss, high street chain Peacocks have annonced their first wedding dress to go on sale in August.
Inspired by the Sarah Burton creation worn by Kate Middleton in April, the high value fashion retailer adds another contender to this season's best of the bride battle, and for only £60, it makes it a front runner.
Antonella Bettley, Peacocks Head of Ladieswear said in a statement: "Since the royal wedding, we have seen a new trend for sweetheart necklines and lace in our occasion wear. Catherine’s dress had elements that translated well for our customers, the classic neckline with the overlay of lace, and full skirt, were not only classically beautiful but also flattering for a womanly figure."
"Our first bridal dress incorporates the best selling elements of our summer occasion wear, the sweetheart neckline, lace detail and full skirt. We hope the dress makes customers feel every inch a princess whether they choose to wear for their own wedding or a summer party."
The limited edition white lace, prom freatures a sweetheart neckline, lacey half sleeves, three-button detail and a satin trim bow belt. The skirt is made from a cotton sateen and designed with a full sweep to show off and flatter a bride's womanly curves.
Expected to be an instant sell out, the launch is exclusively on the website on August 7 2011 in sizes 8 -18 - offering consumers the Middleton look for a high street price.
