Patricia Field is up for an Oscar on February 25th for her work on satirical fashion film The Devil Wears Prada.
The world famous stylist and fashion designer said she loved doing the film and the challenge of creating a look from nothing.
However she revealed that she had so many fashion people telling her the film was nothing like real life. The movie is adapted from the novel of the same name and tells the story of a small town girl (Anne Hathaway/ who lands a job as assistant to demanding fashion editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep.)
Field told vogue: The idea was to satisfy the publics fantasy about fashion. Of course it wasnt real.
I was there to entertain and make things look beautiful. I wasnt making a documentary.
