Although most of us may still be feeling the pinch of the purse strings and trying to be fickle with our fashion, high end designers such as Oscar de la Renta have nothing to worry about.
According to data compiled by Bundle, the luxury label de La Renta attracts an average spend of $3,217 per fashionista that walks through its doors, making it the most expensive fashion store in America.
Though the hefty bill receipt may seem a little on the extreme side, with prices ranging from the 'low-end' $1,890 to $10,690, say Racked.com, we can soon see how an average bill may accumulate.
It also comes as no surprise to hear the survey found that three of the top five most expensive fashion stores were lcocated in New York which was, until recently, considered the fashion capital of the world.
Second on the list was Georgia Armani, also of Madison Avenue at $2,881 and Loro Plana in Boston at $2,649.
As one might expect other big names including Alexander McQueen, Prada, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana and Vera Wang also made the list of exclusive 25 high end retailers.
Oscar de la Renta is a label known for it's love and romantic themes with gowns been sported by the biggest and most stylish of A Listers. The dresses are favoured by Glee's Lea Michele on the red carpet having worn stunning pink and black fairytale numbers.
The name has also been dropped into every girl's bible show Sex and the City on many occassions and is much loved by character Carrie Bradshaw and her real life alter ego, Sarah Jessica Parker.
