Natalie Portman looked stunning when she attended the Oscars, wearing a stunning vintage Dior gown.
The dress has been sold this week for a record $50,000, to a private English couture collector in London.
She found it on 1stdibs.com and bought it from their vintage couture dealer, RARE Vintage in New York City.
It's been reported that the actress was due to wear another gown, but after trying this on and it not need any alterations she said it was 'fate' that her stylist had found it.
As the face of Miss Dior Cherie perfume, it came as no shock that Natalie chose this designer for Hollywood's biggest night.
The red polka dot haute couture creation, designed by Christian Dior in 1954, had been borrowed by the actress, 30, from fashion dealer Rare Vintage.
She paired the gown with a black Charlotte Olympia box clutch and a stunning Harry Winston diamond necklace.
