Maria Sharapova is bringing a touch of glamour to the tennis courts with her newly designed dresses customised with crystals.

The dresses which the tennis star will wear at next week's US Open have been designed especially by Nike and will feature sparkling Swarovski crystals.

"Maria is dedicated to tennis and shows the same amount of passion for her apparel - a real perfectionist," says Nike's head of global tennis apparel, Gill Brown, who created the outifits.

Maria has been hitting the headlines off the court this week after Maroon 5's Adam Levinne criticised her love-making skills.

Levine was quoted in Russian magazine Exile as saying, "She wouldn't make anynoise during sex... She just lay there like a dead frog. She even got angry if I started to moan, said it 'ruined her concentration'."

However, Levine's spokesperson has since dismissed the quotes as being "absolutely not true".
