Marc Jacobs kept his audience waiting for 2 hours before his highly anticipated return to the New York catwalk on Monday.
The show was due to kick off at 9pm but Jacob's made an audience that included Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, Victoria Beckham and Sheryl Crowe wait until 11pm.
This is the bad boy designers' first collection since he left rehab earlier this year and follows the success of his popular AW 07 offering so the audience had high expectations.
The entire show was staged backward and started with his bow followed by the finale and then running through the looks from No. 56 to No. 1.
Despite the delay the clothes still looked unfinished as the models headed down the catwalk. Raw seams and unfinished, underwear exposing designs created a tramp chic look which failed to impress the patient audience.
Perhaps most importantly Anna Wintour was less than happy with the evening: Its not as if hes some young 19-year-old. Hes a grown-up with a huge organization behind him," she complained to the Telegraph.
