Louise Gray was the sane edition to this year's Fashion East show and sandwiched between crazy Henry Holland and down right loopy Dr Noki anyone would struggle to stand out but she showed attention to detail is just as important as a vivid imagination and lots of celebrity mates.
The Scottish designer is known for her embroidery talents and she displayed this brilliantly her spring/summer 08 collection yesterday.
Simple rough edge tunic dresses were layered with chiffon and set to life with vibrant coloured absrtact detailing and needle work.
Patches and cut out shapes losely pinned to knee length floaty dresses added movement to the designs which are Gray's first to be shown on the London runway since she graduated from Central Saint Martins in February.
"There's lots of bold colour, moving embellishment and floaty dresses,' said Gray describing her collection to vogue TV.
Her style might not be as off-the-wall as Holland and Noki but Gray's collection was simple but eye-catching without screaming 'attention whore'.
