Liz Hurley redifined the classic little black dress with the plunging black and gold safety-pins Versace ensemble she wore in 1994 and over a decade later the dress is going on sale.
"That dress", as it became known by the world's media, propelled Liz to stardom and she went from being an unknown to being an A-list star when she wore it to the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The dress is going on sale alongside some other infamous LBDs as part of the Harrods Timeless Luxury promotion. The black shift worn by Hollywood starlet Audrey Hepburn in the 1963 movie Charades is also on display.
Liz Hurley's safety-pin dress costs £10,690 and will be delivered two months from the date of order.
The little black dress has always been an essential wardrobe item but has recently been making a bit of a comeback on the catwalks and the high street. Check out Female First's Guide to the LBD and have a look at the best styles around.
