Keira Knightley donates Damages to Eating Disorder Charity
Keira Knightley has donated libel damages to an eating disorder charity.
The Pirates Of the Caribbean star will match the £3000 awarded to her to the charity Beat.
Knightley received the payout from Associated News after the Daily Mail ran an article, which she considered deeply offensive and entirely false.
The newspaper showed a picture of the 22 year old wearing a bikini alongside a headline reading:" 'If pictures like this one of Keira carried a health warning, my darling daughter might have lived."
Kate Winslet recently won damages from Grazia magazine as well a public apology after they printed an article claiming she visited a diet doctor.
Winslet also donated part of her money to the beat charity, which helps young girls work through their eating disorders.
