Kate Moss will be making a fashionable appearance in New York today, as Topshop finally opens its doors stateside.
After multiple delays, floods, fires and complaints from neighbours, Sir Philip Green's baby is finally completed and ready to open to an eager hoard of American shoppers.
Getting Kate to appear is clearly part of his master plan to woo the American audience, and there are already rumours of an expansion.
For now though he appears to be very happy with the results, especially after all the nightmare obstacles he has faced and he's obviously proud of his new empire.
He commented to BBC News: "The pillars here are the originals. What's wonderful is to be able to restore a 100-year-old building."
"And as a retailer you've got a lot of height and light. Where would you ever believe that an escalator could become a creative part of the building?"
It's a big gamble, many would argue, opening up a store like this when the world is in recession, but Green is confident he has learnt from other British retailers mistakes.
"If I think of all the other British retailers that have been here, they haven't had enough differential - a reason to be here," he says.
"I think we've got something to bring to the market place. We're going to be very fashion-led here. We've got a $500 (£343) dress hanging 30ft from a two-for-$18 tee-shirt. It's different," reports BBC News.
