Kate Middleton was the talk of Tinseltown last night as she stepped out in a stunning grecian-inspired, lavender gown by Alexander McQueen for the 2011 BAFTA Brits to Watch charity event.
The newly wed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have proved to be a great success on their first tour since getting married in April.
Throughout their visit to Canada and now California, the fashion-sphere has been going crazy for the outfit choices by the young royal and all barring a cream and navy, sailor inspired McQueen number have impressed beyond believe, securing her superb style status.
Kate and Wills took to the red carpet to show the big-screen royalty how its done at a charity dinner last night.
They chatted to stars including Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Gardner - all of whom had nothing but glowing words to say about the glamorous couple.
Last night's appearance is said to have been their conquering across the pond and few can argue.
The couple even stopped in on showbiz pal David Beckham last week and passed on their 'good luck' to then a heavily pregnant Victoria, (who has since given birth to her daughter, Harper Seven Beckham).
With Kate's elegance and beauty (and the help of a pair of priceless earrings lent to her by the Queen) and Wills' gracious and curtious manner, we think we're going to have a tough job getting our royals back from their doting American audience.
