Kate Moss poses for Just Cavalli
The future of Roberto Cavalli's Just Cavalli line has been in doubt after the label pulled out of Milan Fashion Week following financial difficulties of holding company Ittierre SpA but now it seems that all will be fine.
New York magazine reports that Cavalli has signed a five-year deal to renew the Just Cavalli licence with Ittierre, who filed for bankruptcy in February.
During Fashion Week tensions between the two parties were high with Cavalli blaming Ittierre for the late delivery and poor quality of the Just Cavalli line.
The designer has now called the incident just a bit of a fever" and "seasonal ills" and says the line will return to the runway for spring 2009. He added: "Now [Just Cavalli] is very healthy and very strong. It will very much upset those who were hoping for the wors[t]."
The new deal increases the possibility that Cavalli is to sell a 20% stake in the line to an Italian private-equity firm.
