It was a special night for the Istituto Marangoni fashion school at Graduate Fashion Week. Not only was it their first ever trip to the renowned event, but they also scooped a top gong for International Show Award!
Paris campus student Christina Economou was awarded the special prize and made her show debut infront of industry experts including Karen Millen, Mulberry creative director and Harold Tilman, chairman of the BFC.
As the pieces made their way down the runway they looked right at home. The statement bold colours and prints make them trendy as well as trend setting as we're sure the industry will find something to draw inspiration from.
We have come to expect prints from fashion this season, this as well as purple which is making it mark by everyone from Gucci to Gap and on everyone from Cheryl Cole to Kim Kardashian. What makes these designs different is the freedom to express as well as impress. The long trained coats are fantastic and one cannot help but think that this will be the thing that gets the designers scribbling in their notepads!
