Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay successfully bid £33,000 for a designer watch in a charity auction yesterday.
The Raymond Weil watch was a one off design created especially for the annual O2 Silver Cleft Lunch awards and auction.
The event was held at the London Hilton Park Lane in order to raise money for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.
The watch was co-designed by British soul sensation Lemar and from the Swiss firms Don Giovanni Collection.
Lemar selected an 18-karat, pink-gold rectangular case set with 320 yellow diamonds and a black mother-of-pearl dial, emblazoned with diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and a ruby. The watch is set with a sparkling total of 671 diamonds and precious stones, and has a 47-ruby rotor that ensures the movements precision and resilience.
Other items up for auction were a signed and framed rhinestone jacket by Matthew Williamson made especially for Madonna for her Confessions on a Dance Floor tour, a signed Led Zepplin guitar and the original handwritten lyrics of James Blunt's 'Yo're Beautiful'.
The awards ceremony - presented by Kate Thornton - saw newly wed Rod Stewart receive the Icon Award, whilst Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry was given the Hard Rock's Ambassadors Of Rock Award.
