It is the first time that an haute couture show, which was broadcast on www.msn.com , could be followed live on-line.

Armani said;” "It is the pinnacle of creativity and craftsmanship, which has always been a closed world to all but a few.”

“Now through the democracy of the Internet we can provide a front row seat for everyone.”

A-list stars including Cate Blanchett and Katie Holmes attended the actual show and were thrilled with the designs.

Holmes also told Reuters:” "It was amazing, so beautiful."
