Some of the major fashion houses in the country are joining up with the English National Ballet to put their own twist on ballets most famous costume piece, the tutu.
All of the creations from designers such as ERDERM, Giles and Julien Macdonald will be showcased on a catwalk and sold in a public auction later on this month (June).
Designers Roksanda have focused on creating light and airy tutu's where as Julien Macdonald has developed a more ethereal look to the traditional piece.
The Welsh designer explained: "The inspiration came from imagining a gorgeous English garden in the moonlight, cast with a mysterious black shadow.
"I used pleated chiffon, organza and tulle and hand-embroidered the bodice with thistle and bracken foliage motifs to create an ethereal tutu."
He went on to explain he had experience working with a dance company in 2004 with Richard Alston Company's Shimmer but a dream of his has always been to design a tutu.
Moschino's creative director, Rossella Jardini, told Vogue: "I think that the tutu is one of the most beautiful pieces of clothing invented...
"I was honoured by the request from an institution as prestigious as the English National Ballet.
"It came naturally because the Pear-and-Queen button embroidery are typically English and I have always found them beautiful."
Footwear designers Christian Louboutin and Beatrix Ong have also jumped on the bandwagon by designing shoes for the event.
The pieces will be revealed - and up for a silent auction through iPads supplied by technology company Bidtech - at the English National Ballet's Summer Parry at The Orangery, Kensington Palace.
