Dizzee Rascal is swapping rap for fashion as he gets ready to open two new Uniqlo stores in London.
The London rapper will open the new stores for the Japanese retailers as part of their bit to increase their presence in the UK highstreet fashion market.
Dizzee will play a live set as the 25,000 square-foot flagship store opens its doors at 311 Oxford Street, while a smaller store will launch at the same time further down the street.
Masayuki Nagatake, ceo of Uniqlo UK says the layout of the stores reflects modern Japanese retail culture but with a London twist: "Designed uniquely for Londoners, the emphasis is on innovation and exceeding customer expectations," he told vogue.
"The original building and structure have been incorporated in the architectural interior, designed to be a landmark."
Uniqlo have big plans for expansion in the UK with more store openings planned, a special cashmere collection with Pantone and a new ad campaign ready to be launched starring Skins star Nicholas Hoult.
