Courtney Cox has become the face of Avon's new fragrance, Spotlight.
The fragrance is due to launch in April, and it's thought that this latest signing has confirmed Avon's growing trend for celebrity and designer alliances.
Cox commented: "I'm happy to be a part of a company I've known my whole life. Once I sat with them and learned more, they really blew me away with all the issues they support and the wonderful earnings opportunities they give women."
The company first signed Derek Jeter in 2006, and since then they have signed more than 10 deals. These include Cynthia Rowley, Christian Lacroix, Jennifer Hudson and Patrick Dempsey, not forgetting the Bond and Iron man franchises.
Vice president of global fragrance marketing for the direct seller, Tracy Haffner, said of the latest signing: "As we look at our global fragrance portfolio, we wanted to diversify it from designers to celebrities and other franchises, all of which resonate with consumers in an emotional way. This portfolio allows consumers to have a piece of designer and celebrity equities, and our plan is to continue growing in this way."
Although the terms of the partnership has yet to be disclosed, it's thought that the fragrance could top $15 million in retail sales, within its first year of being sold.
"Since I'm the kind of person thatâs very loyal to a fragrance, having worn the same fragrance for 10 years, itâs nice to have a new one that I'm so proud of." said Cox.
