Coco Rocha is launching her own charity jewellery collection.
They asked if I wanted to partner up with them to do a jewellery line. I designed it and the girls make it and the proceeds go to the girls.
The model has teamed up with Senhoa - an organisation helping Cambodian victims of human trafficking - to create a range of accessories which will help raise much-needed funds.
Coco says she was inspired to get involved with the charity after receiving a piece made by the women of Senhoa on her wedding day in June 2010.
She told WWD: "They asked if I wanted to partner up with them to do a jewellery line. I designed it and the girls make it and the proceeds go to the girls."
Coco has given her pieces their own tag line, 'Accessorize your conscience', which is aimed at encouraging women to spend a little bit then they normally would on jewellery.
She explained: "Because you know you're helping out and it was in the hands of a young girl who put a lot of time and effort into it.
"We're naming the pieces after some of the girls in the camp - and some familiar Cambodian names."
The pieces are made by hand at Senhoa and beaded with clear, black and multi-coloured Swarovski Elements and made in a distinct chain-link of silver and gunmetal.
The collection has seven styles - two pairs of earrings, two bracelets, one necklace and two body pieces - and prices range from $60 to $195, with the exception of one body piece that retails for $995.
