Christian Louboutin is expanding his brand into a beauty line.
The exciting news has been released this morning, and women have rejoiced because they can finally get their hands on something a little more affordable and they won't destroy your feet in the process.
Mr Louboutin will work in partnership with a New York-based beauty group on the venture, Christian Louboutin Beauté.
The shoe designer has declined to specify which categories the brand will cover, but he has promised that the goods will come with as much luxury as his shoes.
The beauty side of the business 'has to mirror the quality of the shoes, of the bags, of all the DNA of the brand,' he told WWD.
'The beauty adventure is a natural extension for someone like me, who likes to empower women,' Louboutin said in a statement, 'and to be a part of creating beauty seems like the right next step'.
As excited we might be about this news, it has to be said that it's left a little tainted because the first of the products won't be available till late 2013.
