Celebrities and supporters alike are joining together in a desperate bid to save the infamous white dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in 'The Seven Year Itch'. The legendary dress designed by William Travilla caused a stir in the subway scene when a gust of air bellowed up the dress leading to the famous pose that sky rocketed the dress and the wearer to super-stardom. The dress is scheduled to be auctioned on June 18 and fans are worried it will be bought by a private collector and never to be seen instead. Save-the-Dress wants to try and keep the dress permanently on show in New York for admirers to see all year round.
