Bindi Irwin is keeping her dad Steve's memory alive as major departments stores line up to house her new eco fashion line less than a week before the anniversary of his tragic death.

The Bindi Wear line was launched at the Magic tradeshow in Las Vegas earlier this week and has already proved to be a massive hit.

The clothes have a 'green' theme with tags made from recycled cardboard, the soles on the shoes made with recycled rubber and 100% of the profits she earns from the clothes will be used to fund Australia Zoo's conservation programs.

"They are clothes with a message," Bindi said in Las Vegas. "We're getting just further and further away from animals. If we keep making them into boots, bags and belts what are we going to be left with?" added the 9 year old wildlife warrior.

Bindi hopes the range of T-shirts, jumpers, swimwear, sleepwear, hats, bags and shoes which all carry environmental messages will keep the work of her father alive.

The collection has been created with the help of Three Monsters children's designers and will be launched in Austrailia early next year.

Palmina Martin, a director and designer from Three Monsters, said there had been a steady stream of representatives from US and Australian department stores visiting their booth at Magic- reports One News.

"The response has been extremely positive," Martin said.

"We've had people from specialty boutiques and from department stores all across the US as well as a lot of Australian department stores visit."

"I'm sure the follow-up will be really positive as well."
