Though the sun may be shining it is time to start thinking about which designers and trends will be making a name for themselves as we approach the all important autumn/winter fashion season.
It comes as no surprise that Kate Middleton has been a huge source of inspiration to fashion desginers over the past year after her royal wedding to Prince William and her incredibly successful North American tour over the summer.
Therefore, we can expect to see plenty of 'Kate dresses' popping up everywhere from the runway to the highstreet in the simple, elegant and conservative style favoured by the young Duchess.
If you want to copy Kate's style or simply want to know what will be in fashion for a/w then you cannot go wrong with some knee-hovering hems, three-quarter length sleeves and lovely structured court dresses.
Essentially this style is smart dressing with a royal twist. Kate makes these outfits her own with a great choice in jewellery, heels, clutch bags and of course her biggest asset: Those lush, long locks.
If you're a fan of the style then you cannot go wrong with a pair of LK Bennett pumps to complete your style, alternatively set your own trend by wearing some killer heals and statement jewellery.
Designers including Marc Jacobs and Halston Heritage have already started on their owen interpretation of Kate dresses, but it won't be long before shops such as Coast and Kate's old faithful Reiss will be in on the act too.
Some have criticised Kate's style saying it's safe and boring. True, she does play it safe with her now signature style, but she's not afraid to dress differently for events or indeed the red carpet (Alexander McQueen lilac grecian number), and if something isn't broken...
