The 'Back to Black' singer/songwriter, who was tragically found dead in her London flat on Saturday, inspired a generation of fans and fashion designers with her love of 1960s style and what it represented.
Amy was rarely seen in anything other than her trademark 60s fitted dresses, skirts, shorts and playsuits that suited her big hair and even bigger character.
The dramatic style was retro, distinctive and utterly rock and roll.
Though some did not understand the appeal of her style statements, other relished in it, including Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld who used her trademark hive for numerous looks and inspirations.
As well as the hair, there was the thick, ticked-shaped eye liner than is still on trend even today.
The dramatic style was retro, distinctive and utterly rock and roll.
Where so many musicians draw their muses from the past, Amy made this look her own through her loveable charm and tragic imperfections including her long suffering battle with substance and alcohol abuse that became so heavily documented by the press.
Much like her voice, she was a free spirit and reflected this in her choice of attire. Often adopting a casual look for the stage in a white tank top, black skinny jeans and converse, Amy still gave her fans what they wanted: She was biker chick cool and had the confidence to wear the look with nothing but her signature eyes and misscellany of tattoos and body art.
Just as fashion played a part in her world, she did so for fashion. Not only was she an icon, but her music iconic to the runway. Designers and producers often sought the raw emotion and pronounced beat of Amy's hit 'Rehab' as a catwalk favourite.
Quite simply put: She will be missed.
Now get backcombing those beehives and sculpting that eyeliner just one last time for Miss Amy Winehouse.
