16-year-old from Northampton new face of Louis Vuitton
A lucky 16-year-old from Northhampton has become the envy of many after being named the latest face to appear for Louis Vuitton on the catwalk for Paris Fashion Week, alongside Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss later in the year.
Zumbabwean born Nyasga Matonholdze was first discovered walking into Elite agency in 2009 wearing her school uniform, she went onto win the Elite Model Look UK that same year and has seen her full-time modelling career go from strength to strength.
As well as appearing in the fashion show, Loius Vuitton's creative director Marc Jacobs has chosen Nyasha to appear in the infamous label's 2011autumn/winter campaign, shot by highly regarded fashion photographer Steven Meisel, seeing her follow in the footsteps of Scarlett Johansson and Madonna.
An emotional Nyasha spoke about the moment she found out to the Telegraph: "My eyes filled up with tears and I thought 'Lord you are lucky!'"
"It didn't actually hit me until I was sat in a Rolls Royce sitting eye-to-eye with Mr Meisel. He is a wonder to work with, he and Marc [Jacobs}made me feel beautiful".
Nyasha has also been photographed for top fashion mags Harpers Bizaar and Teen Vogue.
