Hailey Clauson
The 16 year old American model has already been compared to Karlie Kloss for her poise and maturity and was tipped by models.com as one of the Top 10 Newcomers for fashion week Spring/Summer 2011.
2011 has been a great year for the 5ft 11in model, as she has modelled for various designers be it on the catwalk or in campaigns.
Since being scouted at the age of 14, the model already has produced a wide portfolio, having racked up advertising campaigns with Gucci, DSquared2 to name a few.
Clauson has also graced the pages of Vogue’s all over the globe, Harpers Bazaar, Dazed & Confused and Elle magazines and walked down the catwalk at Milan,Paris and New York Fashion Week for Oscar de la Renta, Donna Karen, Diane von Furstenberg and H&M for Lanvin.
And just in September 2011, Jay Z premiered his alternative video for the song Empire State of Mind which featured Hailey Clauson as well as Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn among others.
Clauson has also been noticed for the controversy surrounding her modelling career.
The teenager hit the headlines several times in 2011. Firstly while she was still 15 she modelled on the catwalk for Calvin Klein and Diane von Furstenberg despite the fact the Council of Fashion Designers of America made guidelines that designers should not use models under the age of 16.
Also her parents supposedly were trying suing Urban Outfitters for using inappropriate images of the model.
However this has not deterred the 16 year old, she has gone on secured even modelling deals.
