Kim Kardashian attended her first Met Ball on Monday evening
Once again Kim Kardashian came under a reign of fire from critics who slated her floral choice of gown at this year's Met Ball Gala.
But in all honesty, is the Givenchy dress really as bad as people think?
Well, the print is simply beautiful. I'm a big fan of florals and this is gorgeous.
But what kills the look is the high neckline, the matching attached gloves and the matching sandals.
Was there really any need for there to be so much of this material used in one go?
Kim managed to salvage the look slighty with the simple sleek ponytail and as always, flawless make-up. I do love a bold, dark lip.
We know the reality TV star has had problems with maternity dressing in the past, but I do think the shape of the gown would have looked much more flattering if the floral pattern had in face been bigger. The small details have enlarged her growing baby bump.
Apparently Kim chose this dress at last minute because her first choice didn't fit. But in all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if Kim had received a similar sort of attack. People were just against her going to the Met Gala and I don't think a stylish look would have fixed this.
