Taylor Swift wears Herve Leger at the MTV VMAs
Whilst the main topic of the evening at the MTV Video Music Awards may have been Miley Cyrus and her 'Twerking' performance, there was one standout fashion trend that hit the red carpet, sexy and sultry.
The ladies revved up the sex factor with their beautiful gowns with sexy details.
Taylor Swift shunned her love for embellished gowns with a sexy Old Hollywood look which featured tight curls, a bold red lip and a figure-hugging Herve Leger black gown with plunging neckline, accentuated with crystallised details.
She completely worked this look to its fullest effect, and I for one loved the change of pace from the singer.
Selena Gomez was one of my favourite looks of the evening, in a beautiful Atelier Versace Fall 2013 gown.
Selena Gomez in Atelier VersaceThe incredibly detailed gown featured a thigh-high split with studded detailing and an exposed bustier, an amazing standout look. Sleek hair, berry lips and nails and gorgeous Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings completed the look.
Ciara chose a Givenchy Couture dress from the Fall 2013 collection. The second-skin gown hugged her body perfectly with strategically placed crystals and feathers falling all around the hemline.
She looked gorgeous and the nude colour looked beautiful against her skin tone.
Rita Ora also chose a feathered gown for her appearance at the Barclay Center in New York.
She wore a baby blue Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2013 gown with deep plunging neckline and crystal-embroidered long-sleeve top, thigh high split and an incredible feathered train.
Whilst there may be much on display, Rita works the look perfectly and thankfully kept the make-up and hair to a chic minimum.
Iggy Azalea chose a provocative Emilio Pucci Spring 2013 sheer dress with gold leaf embroidery. The long column dress showed off her incredible curvaceous killer-bod to perfection and she worked the look completely as she hit the red carpet.
Slicked back hair into a bun and a bold red lip was all she needed with this look. To execute such a daring look takes a lot of confidence and Iggy completely oozed this.
Finally we have a surprising look from Naya Rivera.
Naya Rivera covers up in vintage Paco RabanneThe Glee actress has definitely delighted us with her sartorial choices of late, but I was definitely expecting something a little more ab-bearing. If I had abs like hers, I would definitely be showing them off at every opportunity too.
However, Naya chose a more sultry look in a vintage Paco Rabaane black figure-hugging gown with cut-out details at the waist, accented with gold chains.
A sultry eye, big blown-out hair and gold rings completed this temptress look.
Sexy and sultry was definitely the order of the evening and these ladies got it perfectly right.
