The 18th birthday of the MOBO awards took place over the weekend in Glasgow and there were some stylish sights to behold on the red carpet.
Taking place at the brand SSE Hydro - an absolutely amazing venue - the stars took to the red carpet to put their stylish foot forward.
Presenter for the evening Sarah Jane Crawford, who was presenting alongside Trevor Nelson, looked beautiful in her first look of the evening. A Forever Unique strapless gown with lace and embellishement detail. She kept the whole look sleek with softly curled hair, dark manicure and bold red lips completing the look.
Iggy Azalea completed tore the stage apart with her performance, but when she hit the red carpet she chose a much more reserved look than what we were expecting. The Australian rapper chose a fully embellished midnight blue gown, which looked divine. The dress featured a plunging neckline and central split, but still it was missing an edge we've come to expect from Iggy. She looked beautiful none-the-less though.
Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan formerly known as the Sugababes are back together making music once again. The trio walked the red carpet shunning the girl band matching outfits, each choosing to stick to their own style. Much prefered. Siobahan Donaghy chose my favourite look of the three with a teal blue printed blazer, with a white blouse and black high waisted trousers. Some may think this is a little dressed down, but it works well for this particular awards show and the teaming rain ensured that it was a weather-appropriate look.
Keisha Buchanan wore a Charlotte Taylor woven jacquard black and white printed dress. The long sleeves and high neck are completely on trend this season and the look was balanced with a short hemline. Black strappy ankle boots with peeptoes and a bright pink pout completed this gorgeous look. Mutya Buena also chose a mini dress, wear a navy blue Sister Jane embellished number. Her favourite oversize hooped earrings completed her look.
Who was your favourite out of the three?
Aluna George also performed at the event, as we've come to expect from the duo they were amazing. But first they walked the red carpet and we fell in love with Aluna Francis' simple and chic look.
Aluna wore an embellished maroon shift dress, but it was her brogues that completed the look perfectly. The matching colour was just gorgeous.
Then whilst performing on stage she chose a completely different look wearing wedged trainers and a super short skater style dress. Her red carpet look is definitely our favourite and something we're defintiely going to be emulating. We just need to get our hands on those Brogues.
Chelsee Healey was also at the event, but her lace playsuit was all kinds of brash and once again the actress took the styling too far.
Katy B also walked the red carpet in a loud printed Christopher Kane bodycon dress and Kimberley Wyatt who presented an award chose two looks for the show. Whilst on stage she chose a gorgeous plunging jumpsuit that looked sleek and sophisticated.
