Louise Redknapp shares her summer beauty and fashion advice

What are your favourite trends of the moment?
I’m loving the summer brights this year they’re really on trend and there is a colour to suit everyone.
What is going to be your must-have purchase for the summer?
Anything from Isabel Marant her collection is so wearable and it’s also perfect to take you from day into evening.
What colours and styles will you wearing this summer?
For summer I like a boho look with a bit of an edge – perhaps add a few studs to your outfit. Don’t be afraid to team an ankle boot with a summer dress to give it a heavier feel.
How would you describe your style?
Understated, I would always prefer to underdress rather than overdress. I try to keep it trendy and casual without playing it too safe. I love to experiment with new fashion styles.
What’s your favourite item of clothing?
Jeans – I always live in jeans and love their versatility you can dress them up or down.
Who are your favourite designers?
I like designers with effortless style, Stella McCartney, Antoni Beradi, Isabelle Marant, Rupert Sanderson and Lanvin.
What’s your favourite holiday outfit?
Dresses with flat sandals are easy because they can take you from lunchtime through to the evening.
What are your holiday essentials?
A big beach bag that you can throw everything in, especially handy when you have kids. That and a big hat – I like to protect my face from the sun.
What is your must have beauty product?
A must have beauty product from within my own make-up range is the Botanical Skin Prep. It’s full of goodies and ensures an even finish to your make-up all day.
What’s your routine for getting ready to go out?
These days I’m used to turning it around in minutes between kids bath and bedtime - but when I do have the opportunity to get glammed up I love putting on some lively upbeat music and having a glass of Gallo Summer White.
What do you do when you have a bad hair day?
In the summer time I’d put on a big sun hat and the rest of the time pull it back into a simple ponytail.
What's your beauty trend for this summer?
I love the look of bronzed, sun kissed skin with light tones over the top – not too much colour. Finished off with a coral nail varnish.
Which celebrity’s body do you envy?
I am a huge Helena Christensen fan, I think she looks great, I love her style and she has been in the industry a long time.
