Don’t tell Kylie, but Kim gave out some free lip kits to fans after the pop-up store launched in New York this week.
Kylie Jenner was in New York on Monday to open her pop-up shop
Kylie Jenner launched her second ever pop-up store during New York Fashion Week in Manhattan on Monday, and even sister Kim Kardashian couldn’t wait to go check it out.
The 19-year-old has gone from reality star to mini makeup mogul in less than a year thanks to the massive success of her ‘LipKits’, which regularly sell out online within minutes.
On Monday Kylie chose a tan coloured turtleneck dress from brother-in-law Kanye West’s Yeezy Season Four collection for her big store opening, teaming it with a pair of lace up ankle boots, also designed by Kanye.
She topped off the look with a glamorous faux fur jacket to shield her from the New York chill, as well as a pair of oversized shades and a long peach coloured wig.
Fans are said to have braved the freezing cold and camped out for days to attend the launch, travelling from across the US. Kylie arrived at the store at around noon to massive cheers from the waiting crowd, some of whom were lucky enough to get a selfie with the star.
The next day Kim didn't seem to be feeling the cold too much, as she wore an oversized, stripped blazer dress to visit the store, going braless to allow the dress to hang off one shoulder. She also made sure to rep her husband’s fashion line, by wearing a pair of white, Yeezy Season 4 ankle boots.
Inside the store there was an entire wall filled with Kylie’s mega popular Lipkits in all different shades. Some lucky fans on Tuesday even managed to get a free kit courtesy of Kim, who decided to hand some out as a Valentine’s Day gift.
Posting a video to her Snapchat account, Kim said: "We're at the Kylie pop up. It's so cute, Do you think Kylie would kill us if we told everyone they get free LipKits for Valentine's Day?” She then proceeded to go to the stockroom and grab several LipKits, handing them away to fans.
The store also had a variety of Kylie merchandise including phone cases, a satin bomber jacket (with the Kylie lips logo on the back), a t-shirt featuring momager Kris Jenner flipping the bird (named the Kris Attitude tee) and a t-shirt which read: ‘I’m the Kendall you're the Kylie’.
