Kristin Cavallari's new show premieres on E! at 6pm April 6
Tell us a little bit about your new show The Fabulist?
It’s a fast, fun and informative show.
It focuses on all the latest trends in beauty, fashion and lifestyle. We invite different panel guests on each week.
They all have strong personalities, bringing their own flavour to the show.
Why did you want to get involved with this?
I’ve always wanted to get involved with hosting and fashion for years and was just waiting for the right project to come along.
You’re pregnant at the moment, and have a young one at home too, how are you managing with that and the show?
Luckily I can juggle the shoe and jewellery lines as I design from home in Chicago. I fly to New York once a week for the show which is only a short trip. Jay also helps out a lot which has been great.
If you are doing something that you love I think it makes you a better mum and partner.
Do you and your co-host Orly have quite similar taste or do you find yourselves disagreeing quite often?
We don’t disagree on much – we are pretty similar which is nice!
You discuss a number of different things in the show, fashion, beauty and lifestyle – which are your favourite?
I would say Fashion – I can talk about what I absolutely love and also fun things that I totally hate, like braless fashion!
Is it important for you to be able to be yourself now, as opposed to what you used to do with MTV on The Hills and Laguna Beach?
Yes, it is good to now be portrayed as the real me rather than a manufactured person.
You’re also growing your fashion brand too, with a recent shoe collection and jewellery selection – how’s that going?
They are both growing really well. I’m currently busy working on 2014 Fall and 2015 Spring.
I’m having a ton of fun - I’m living every girls’ dream.
Would you like to expand into a clothing line?
No plans right now – I’m having too much fun focusing on designing accessories.
When it comes to designing, what’s the most important thing for you?
Being on trend and affordable.
Other than the show, and the new baby, what’s coming up for you?
I’m busy with the new baby and the E! show so that is the main focus!
