Jenna Dewan-Tatum admits her eye is drawn to "tackiness" and sparkles, but she is trying to change her style for the sake of her daughter.
The actress - who has four-month-old daughter Everly with her husband Channing Tatum - says her sartorial choices have always veered towards sparkly and form-fitting pieces because of her dance background.
She laughed: "I had some really 90s bad choices... remember 'No Fear' T-shirts? If there's something bordering on a little bit of tackiness, like too many sequins... my eye goes right to it. Let's all remember that I used to dance for twenty years of my life and I want a little flash or sparkle. It's the way it goes. Sorry guys!"
However, Jenna has had to rethink her look since becoming a mother and is trying to fill her wardrobe with investment designer pieces she can pass down to her daughter.
The 32-year-old brunette revealed in the new issue of Alexa magazine: "Now that I have Everly, I think about what I can hand down to her. I want to give her my vintage Chanel purse from my mom, you know?
"I have a different perspective on my purchases lately. Or maybe I'm trying to convince myself to buy expensive things!"
Jenna joked she knew Hollywood hunk Channing was the man for her when they met on the set of dance romance 'Step Up' because they shared the same dress sense.
She recalled: "When we first started dating, I remember we would come down to rehearsals for 'Step Up' in the same outfits. We hadn't talked or anything, but we would come down and we'd both have on cargo pants and a white T-shirt, like, 'Oh my God! How is this happening?' "
