Stylist Gemma Sheppard thinks stars like Michelle Pfeiffer have encouraged people to embrace the "geek chic" look and wear their glasses with pride.
The stylist-to-the-stars - who has partnered with Vision Express to offer bespoke advice to customers - believes big names like Michelle are helping celebrities embrace the "geek chic" trend and become confident about wearing their glasses in public.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The sexiest spectacle wearing celebrity of all time has to be Michelle Pfeiffer, it's such an iconic image. I think this is where celebrity has really changed.
"There was a time where everybody went from wearing glasses to wearing contact lenses, but that has gone full circle. More celebrities are wearing their glasses.
"I was at the National Television Awards last week, there were so many celebs with glasses on the red carpet. The geek chic look is now very fashion-forward.
"I'm loving the new Ralph Lauren glasses because they're very chic, they're very classic. I think if you get the right pair for the right occasion, you've got the confidence to wear them for going out."
The fashion-savvy star - who has worked on 'The X Factor' and 'Dancing On Ice' - also revealed she is going to be dressing Ashley Roberts for the new series of 'Saturday Night Takeaway' and says the blonde beauty's strong point is that she's willing to take risks.
Gemma explained: "I've just done a photo shoot for FAULT magazine, very sexy shoot. Since Ashley's been on 'I'm a Celebrity!' we've seen a much softer side of her, really embrace the vixen she is, let's remember she is one fifth of The Pussycat Dolls.
"What was so fantastic about her is she's willing to take risks, and go on a fashion trip with me. As a stylist I massively believe in contradiction, I love it when you get fashion meets art."
International stylist Gemma Sheppard has partnered with Vision Express to launch an exclusive new range of Ralph Lauren eyewear, available now.
She was joined by celebrities including The Saturdays' Vanessa White and the cast of 'Made In Chelsea' at the launch party at Vision Express' flagship Oxford Street store last night (30.01.14).
