Oscar nominations are out and all we can do now is wait with breath that is baited for the dresses - the really important part.
As we have nearly a month to wait for couture, hand made gowns to saunter down the red carpet, we take a look back at some of our favourite gowns that have appeared at the Academy Awards.
First up we have Michelle Williams and the stunning mustard Vera Wang gown she wore to the 2006 Oscars.
It wasn't enough that she had the incredibly talented Heath Ledger on her arm too, she had to outshine everyone in the fashion stakes as well.
The amazing cut, which clung to her curves, the simple up-do with loose tendrels framing her face and the stunning red lipstick which was the perfect choice.
It was certainly a look that will go down in history.
Julia Roberts has not always been the most fashion forward star, with a lot more misses than hits in her earlier days in the lime light.
Nowadays, she tends to stick to Stella McCartney and simple designs that don't make an impact, but also don't leave her on the 'Worst Dressed' lists.
But when the actress stepped up to receive her Best Actress award for Erin Brockovich she simply wowed the crowd, the photographers and the fashion industry all the world over.
Her vintage Valentino gown was a pick above the rest. Fifty designers had offered to dress her that year, but she made the correct choice going for classic. It was simply stunning.
Mila Kunis attended the event last year, receiving a nomination for her role in Black Swan. Even though the petite actress may have lost out on the award she was still their at the top of the list, thanks to her Elie Saab gown.
The delicate lilac gown, with lace detailing was beautiful. The colour worked perfect with her skin tone. Now that she's the face of Dior we can only expect even more beautiful gowns. I can't wait.
Cate Blanchett also opted for a lilac hue at last year's event, wearing a Givenchy Couture gown.
Cate rarely puts a foot wrong and doesn't stick to simple. Her choices are out there, edgy and non-predictible. With her milky skin, she manages to choose colours that make her glow rather than wash her out. She's a joy to see on any red carpet event.
Kate Winslet's Ben de Lisi gown in 2007 ensured that she stood out amongst the crowd.
At the time she was recently divorced, the red was the perfect 'I'm Single and happy' statement.
Red is a classic choice, with little room to go wrong.
Finally, the last look comes from Hilary Swank. This has gone down as one of my favourite ever Oscar gowns. It was the year she won the Oscar for Million Dollar Baby and her simple navy dress was show stopping.
The high-neckline, and intricate draping and folding on the front was beautiful, but when the actress turned around the whole of the back was cut out.
Guy Laroche designed the gown and it's my first memory of a cut-out back wowing me.
