Emma Stone lit up the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday evening, in a pink Valentino gown decorated with stars.
The delicate dress featured a plunging neckline, a long train and a sheer layer over the top, which was decorated with silver stars. The star detailing also adorned the straps, which crossed over at the back to reveal a hint of flesh.
The actress kept her make-up to neutral tones for the evening and wore her hair in a sophisticated bun. Earlier in the day her make-up artist Rachel Goodwin had given a sneak peak of the preparations on Instagram, posting a pic of Stone sporting a giant lip mask.
“Some say beauty is pain, others say it just ridiculous! And so is prepping for the #goldenglobes with this hilarious human being!” Goodwin captioned the pic. She later shared another image of Stone getting some last minute make-up touch-ups before leaving for the ceremony.
On the red carpet Stone had an awkward encounter with E! host Ryan Seacrest when he asked her to tell him about her dress. The actress simply responded, “Well, it’s pink and there are stars on it”.
Stone’s response was in keeping with the #AskHerMore campaign launched by actress and comedian Amy Poehler in 2014, which called on reporters to ask actresses questions about their work rather than what they were wearing on the red carpet.

But Stone’s talents were undoubtedly the focus of the evening, as she picked up the award for Best Actress -Musical or Comedy for her role in La La Land, opposite Ryan Gosling.
Accepting the award Stone said: "This is a film for dreamers. I think that hope and creativity are two of the most important things in the world and that's what this movie is about.
"So to any creative person who's had a door slammed in their face - or anybody, anywhere, really that feels like giving up sometimes and finds it in them to get up and keep moving forward, I share this with you."
