Dawn O'Porter reveals the best place to get honest fashion advice is at home, and her husband Chris O'Dowd can be pretty brutal about her choices.
The TV presenter - who is known for her sixties-inspired style - has confessed that her actor hubby is her harshest critic and is always on hand to give his approval on her outfits.
She told the Metro newspaper: "He is so brutal with his critiques that I know if he gives his approval to a design, I'm comfortable with it. I really trust his opinion and he's not safe with his choices - if I falter, he'll tell me to push things."
The 35-year-old brunette beauty - who recently launched her own label, Bob - opened up about the inspiration behind the lines and revealed that while it channels her love of retro fashion, the pieces are also designed to remain flattering following a three course meal.
She explained: "I started off with the classic 1960s shapes. I want to go out and be able to eat three courses, go dancing afterwards and not worry about holding in my stomach. The designs are structured to skim over your belly."
Dawn also shared her top tips for vintage dressing and believes it's important to merge retro pieces with more modern styles.
She explained: "The idea is not to do fancy dress - if you're wearing a 1960s dress don't do go-go boots too. The best rule is to mix your eras, blend the contemporary with the old. Wear new jeans and pair them with a cool vintage shirt, for example."
