Blake Lively attended the event sans boyfriend
Blake Lively rarely sets a fashion foot wrong, amazing considering that she styles herself.
But, does this ensemble only confirm that maybe it's time for the Gossip Girl star to let someone else take over her wardrobe.
Don't get me wrong, I'm the first to admit that I have a huge girl crush on the actress and despite the fact that I've never dyed my hair, she is the one person that could make me go from brunette to blond. Would you just look at her locks?!
But this outfit leaves me feeling a little deflated.
I don't know whether it's because she chose to cover up her enviable legs with tights, it may have been a cold night but has she never heard of the saying: 'Beauty is painful'?
The great thing about this outfit though is when you consider the pieces individually they're stylish and fashionable.
The silver sequinned top would look great with a pair of black skinng jeans.
The grey wool skirt would be best paired with a striped top and layered with a faux fur gilet.
The thing that really gets me about the outfit is the navy tights. Whilst I can understand why she chose them - black tights = boring - and I don't really have an issue anymore with black and navy together. It just doesn't feel right with this look.
